Cardinals activate Brown, Hopkins fined for taunting

Nov 26, 2022, 2:35 PM | Updated: 2:49 pm

The Arizona Cardinals on Saturday activated wide receiver Marquise Brown from the injured reserve/designated for return list.

Brown, who has made 43 catches for 485 yards and three touchdowns in his first season with Arizona, is expected to return to the Cardinals lineup for Sunday’s home game vs. the Los Angeles Chargers. He has missed the past five games because of a foot injury.

Meanwhile, NFL reporter Ian Rapoport tweeted on Saturday that the NFL has fined Cardinals wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins $10,609 for unsportsmanlike conduct in Monday night’s game vs. the San Francisco 49ers. Hopkins pointed at 49ers defenders after making a reception in that game, which San Francisco won 38-10.

In other roster moves, the Cardinals signed wide receiver Andre Baccellia to the active roster from the practice squad, and elevated wide receiver Pharoh Cooper and tight end Maxx Williams to the active roster from the practice squad as standard elevations.

Arizona also placed tight end Zach Ertz and offensive lineman D.J. Humphries on injured reserve.

The roof at State Farm Stadium will be open for Sunday’s game, which will start at 2:05 p.m.
