The Arizona Wildcats’ win over No. 14 Indiana on Saturday nudged the 8-1 team up one spot, to ninth, in The Associated Press rankings for men’s basketball.

Meanwhile in the poll updated on Monday, the Arizona State Sun Devils earned 39 points, putting them three spots outside the top-25.

ASU defeated SMU, 75-57, on Wednesday behind 22 points and seven rebounds from guard D.J. Horne.

The Sun Devils play the Creighton Blue Jays in Las Vegas on Monday. Creighton was ranked 21st last week and at one point was a top-10 squad but enters the day with four losses in a row: to Arizona, Texas, Nebraska and BYU.

Top-ranked Purdue moved up three spots in The Associated Press poll released on Monday, receiving 27 first-place votes from a 62-person media panel.

No. 2 Virginia received 19 first-place votes to move up a spot, No. 3 Connecticut received 15 and No. 6 Tennessee also got one.

Alabama and Houston rounded out the top five.
