Jedd Fisch’s second year leading the Arizona Wildcats football team saw a massive uptick in talent, and it showed in the win-loss columns.
Arizona went 5-7 after a 1-11 campaign to finish Fisch’s introductory year in Tucson. The transfer portal surely boosted the Wildcats thanks to additions like quarterback Jayden de Laura and receiver Jacob Cowing. They helped slingshot the Wildcats from anemic to, at the least, explosively inconsistent on offense.
The 2022 high school and junior college class also made its mark while signaling a talent boost could show up with further player development. The Wildcats’ 2022 recruiting class ranked 22nd in the nation.
With many of those younger players sticking around, Arizona’s roster has some continuity relative to other teams. And so recruiting star talent and selling early playing time in this class will be a little more difficult.
Wednesday was the first day of the early signing period, when high school and junior college athletes can sign their national letters of intent.
Heading into the thick of things Wednesday, Fisch and staff have Arizona’s 2023 recruiting class ranked 46th in the country, according to 247 Sports.
They finished national signing day ranked No. 45.
Below, you’ll find an updated list of players who have signed their official letters of intent to play football for the Wildcats:
