Former Arizona State quarterback Emory Jones has signed with the Cincinnati Bearcats for his sixth year of college eligibility.
Jones spent four years at Florida before entering 2022 as the Sun Devils’ starting quarterback.
Over eight appearances this past season, Jones threw for 1,533 yards, seven touchdowns and four interceptions, completing 62.8% of his passes.
Jones has thrown for a combined 4,880 yards (64% completed) with 33 touchdowns and 18 interceptions in his five years in college.

After Jones started the first six games of the season, he was injured in a win against Washington and didn’t return. Backup Trenton Bourguet filled in and led the Sun Devils to an upset over the then-ranked No. 21 Huskies.
Jones then started the following game against Stanford, a loss, before Arizona State went with Bourguet versus Colorado the next week. He was the starter from there. The only action Jones would see the rest of the way was when Bourguet was pulled against Washington State and Jones finished the game.
Jones, of course, was brought to Tempe by former head coach Herm Edwards. He and Alabama transfer Paul Tyson are notable players who entered the transfer portal this offseason.
Tyson has signed with the Clemson Tigers.

Kenny Dillingham is the new head coach and has already bolstered the quarterback room ahead of signing day.
Bourguet is back with the Sun Devils and they also landed former Notre Dame signal caller Drew Pyne and former BYU quarterback Jacob Conover in the transfer portal.
