Arizona State basketball will not have one of its main contributors against San Francisco on Wednesday night, as Desmond Cambridge Jr. will not play due to a non-COVID illness, according to CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein.
Cambridge Jr. has scored at least 19 points in three of his last four games, all wins for the No. 25 Sun Devils.
He put up a season-high 23 points Sunday on 14 shots in a 91-67 victory over San Diego.
Domination continues. 💪

He also hit the game-winning shot in a 60-59 win vs. Colorado on Dec. 1 in an 18-point performance.
Cambridge Jr. and his brother, Devan, make up two of ASU’s starting 5 along with Frankie Collins, Warren Washington and DJ Horne. Four ASU starters — minus Horne — transferred in last offseason, as Cambridge Jr. came over from Nevada.
He averages 11.5 points per game with 3.4 rebounds and 1.8 assists.
Jamiya Neal got the start in his place.
The Sun Devils look to extend their winning streak to 10 games Wednesday ahead of their first crack at No. 5 Arizona on Dec. 31 at home.
