Suns and Cardinals both underdogs in Christmas Day games

Dec 25, 2022, 2:05 PM | Updated: 4:30 pm

Both the Phoenix Suns and Arizona Cardinals are underdogs in their respective Christmas Day games on Sunday, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.

The Cardinals will be first up with the third all time matchup against Tom Brady when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers come to town.

Although, this is not the same team that won the Super Bowl two years ago. Tampa Bay comes in at 6-8 and needs a win to take first place in the NFC South division with just three games remaining.

The Cardinals turn to third string QB Trace McSorley as Kyler Murray remains out with the torn ACL and Colt McCoy is sidelined.

The Suns will close out the NBA schedule on Sunday with their first ever Christmas Day matchup with the Denver Nuggets.

Denver currently sits atop the Western Conference in a tie with the Memphis Grizzlies while the Suns are two games back.

In a stroke of good news for Phoenix, guard Devin Booker is expected to return from a groin injury, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported.
