The shorthanded Phoenix Suns will have to play against a Memphis Grizzlies squad with their top scorer, Ja Morant.

Morant (hip soreness) was listed as questionable on the Grizzlies Sunday night’s injury report before being a go prior to the game.

The fourth-year point guard scorched the Suns for 34 points in the previous meeting between the two teams, a game that the Suns won 125-108 in Memphis.

Morant was held to 12 points in the first meeting between the two teams but the Grizzlies won that matchup in Phoenix, 125-100.

For the Suns, another long list of injured players will limit the rotation for head coach Monty Williams.

Guard Landry Shamet (hip soreness) was listed as questionable before being confirmed to play before tip-off. while Cameron Payne (foot sprain), Chris Paul (hip soreness) and Devin Booker (groin strain) are all still sidelined with injuries.

At forward, Cameron Johnson (meniscus tear) and Jae Crowder (not with team) are still out for the Suns.

The Grizzlies also listed John Konchar (illness) as questionable.

Danny Green (knee) and Kenneth Lofton Jr. (two-way) were ruled out for the game while Kennedy Chandler (facial fracture) was listed as available.

The second-place Grizzlies have been the hottest team in the NBA, riding a nine-game winning streak.

The Suns have lost eight of their last 10 games and are in a three-way tie for the ninth seed in the Western Conference.

The Suns tip off against the Grizzlies on Monday from FedEx Forum at 4 p.m. on ESPN 620 AM and 98.7 FM HD-2.
