Dallas Stars blow out Arizona Coyotes on the road: By the Numbers

This one had to hurt.
The Arizona Coyotes lost 6-0 on the road to the Dallas Stars Wednesday night after a day of drama, in which their majority stake was sold to Philadelphia hedge fund manager Andrew Barroway.
That could have been a distraction, a reason for the six-goal loss, but really it was Dallas goaltender Kari Lehtonen’s 31-save performance and the Stars’ explosive third period that snapped Arizona’s three-game win streak.
Neither team scored in the first period, but Dallas’ Brett Ritchie slipped one past Arizona goaltender Devan Dubnyk for the first goal of the game to open the floodgates. Colton Sceviour would add one more in the second period, followed by Jamie Benn, Cody Eakin, Ales Hemsky and Ryan Garbutt in the third.
It was Dallas’ third-straight win. What did it look like, by the numbers?

The game ties for the biggest margin of loss this season for the Coyotes (the other was a 7-1 loss to the Canucks on Dec. 22).
This is the first time an opponent has shut out the Coyotes by a six-goal margin.
