Multiple reports, including from Arizona Sports 98.7 FM’s John Gambadoro, were confirmed Sunday when the Arizona Diamondbacks announced Addison Reed had been traded to the New York Mets for two prospects — Matt Koch and Miller Diaz.

Koch is a  6-foot-3, 185-pounder drafted in the third round out of the University of Louisville in 2014. The 24-year-old went 4-8 with a 3.46 ERA (34 ER in 88.1 IP) as a starter with Double-A Binghamton. He posted a 2.54 ERA (13 ER in 46.0 IP) as a reliever including a 0.42 ERA (1 ER in 21.2 IP) in 14 games from May 2-June 10.

Diaz, 6-foot-1, 210-pounds, was 5-12 with a 4.71 ERA in 23 games with Mets’ Single-A affiliate St. Lucie in 2015 and he ranked eighth in the Florida State League with 98 strikeouts.

The 23-year-old Venezuela native signed with the Mets as a Minor League free agent on May 14, 2009. He earned midseason All-Star accolades in 2013 (New York-Penn League) and 2014 (South Atlantic League) during his seven years in the Mets organization.

In Reed the D-backs are losing a 26-year-old reliever with 3 saves and a 4.20 ERA in 38 games with the D-backs in 2015. In his two seasons with the Diamondbacks, he had 35 saves and posted a 4.23 ERA.

Arizona made four additional roster moves to their pitching staff, recalling right-handed pitchers Allen Webster and A.J. Schugel from Triple-A Reno, selecting the contract of Double-A Mobile pitcher Silvino Bracho and sending lefty Andrew Chafin to Reno.
