The Arizona Cardinals will create a flag football campus outside of State Farm Stadium to host youth events and gameday rentals, the team announced on Thursday.

It will feature three painted fields on manicured Bermuda grass. Shaded benches and grandstands will be built around the fields of play.

The campus will be located on the southwest side of State Farm Stadium, near 95th Avenue and South Loop Road.

Fans interested in signing their teams up to play on the fields on game days can inquire about availability here.

The time slots begin up to three hours before home game kickoffs.

Reservations last an hour, and participants will receive discounted group tickets for games, plus parking passes. They will also receive flags, balls, referees, game clocks and water.

The three fields will be made available outside of game days as well.

Arizona Cardinals investing in growing flag football

The Cardinals and State Farm are partnering to build the three-field flag football campus, which the team said is the first of its kind in the NFL.

The team has also invested in growing high school girls flag football, which is in its second season of being sanctioned by the Arizona Interscholastic Association. The AIA had 57 schools participate last year with more than 100 expected to play in 2024.

In August, the Cardinals, Arizona’s Family Sports and State Farm announced a partnership to promote girls high school flag football with television and streaming broadcasts throughout the 2024 season. Eight games of the week will air on Arizona’s Family Sports this season.

The team also recently agreed on a two-year partnership with the Positive Coaching Alliance and pledged $70,000 to support the sport in Arizona.
