USA Today: ASU’s uniforms the ‘freshest’ of Week 5

Saturday against UCLA, the Arizona State Sun Devils debuted another different uniform combination.

And you know what? It looked good, and that’s not just because the Devils knocked off previously unbeaten and seventh-ranked UCLA 38-23 in them, though that probably helped.

ASU’s combination that included aspects of their “Desert Ice” look as well as their “Desert Hammer” style earned rave reviews from Mike Foss over at USA Today, who said the Devils’ duds were the “freshest” in Week 5.

This might be my favorite uniform of the season. There isn’t a weak point in the ensemble. Everything works together and nothing is overdone.

Arizona State has worn a different uniform set for every game this season, and there is still plenty left in the arsenal from which they have to choose from. But if nothing else, the early returns from their switch to adidas seems like a pretty good one.
