Is Eric Bledsoe the Phoenix Suns’ best player? ESPN.com certainly thinks so.
Bledsoe came in at No. 37 on ESPN.com’s 2015 NBA player rankings. The 25-year-old improved on his position from last year at No. 41 after averaging 17 points, six assists, and five rebounds per game last season.
As it turns out, Bledsoe is ranked one spot ahead of his former teammate Goran Dragic. He also ranks higher than other high-level point guards in the league, such as Atlanta Hawk Jeff Teague and Chicago Bull Derrick Rose.
The Suns only have three players in the top 100, with new addition Tyson Chandler checking in at No. 63 and Brandon Knight is No. 91. Chandler averaged 10 points, 11.5 rebounds, and one block per game last season for the Dallas Mavericks while Knight averaged 17 points, five assists, and four rebounds per game with both the Milwaukee Bucks and Suns last season.
Alex Len jumped over 100 spots from No. 294 last year to No. 177 this year. Len started 44 games last season and averaged six points, 6.6 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks per game for the season.
T.J. Warren (No. 250), Devin Booker (No. 323), and Sonny Weems (No. 379) are all candidates to make a big jump in the 2016 rankings.
The rankings for the entire Suns team are below:
37. Eric Bledsoe
63. Tyson Chandler
91. Brandon Knight
106. Markieff Morris
168. Mirza Teletovic
177. Alex Len
