So far, so good.

The first half of the Arizona Cardinals’ season is now in the books and a 6-2 start is a positive result. With that being said, the team could have even been 8-0, as they lost two very winnable games against the St. Louis Rams and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Looking to the second half of the schedule, head coach Bruce Arians wants his team to be refreshed when action resumes in Week 10.

“This week, I want them to rest,” Arians said in Monday’s press conference.

“Get a lot of treatment and get ready for an eight-game stretch that’s going to be very, very physical and very, very difficult. We’ll practice our young guys these two days and rest most of the guys, especially offensively, who played 75 snaps.”

There’s no doubt about the difficulty of the schedule. Two games against the Seattle Seahawks, a primetime matchup with the undefeated Bengals, and a possible NFC championship preview game against the Green Bay Packers. And then there are games against two surprise teams with a lot of positive momentum in the St. Louis Rams and the Minnesota Vikings.

Arians is glad the bye week is falling where it is for his team.

“I like where it’s at right now,” he said during a Wednesday press conference. “We needed this going into the next stretch of ballgames. We probably would have missed a couple starters had we played this week. ”

Check out the photo gallery below for the remaining eight games and notes on each team.
