Mike Leach jokes about stealing Arizona State signs

Washington State head coach Mike Leach brought about the hottest take after both Utah and Oregon coaches said they defended themselves against ASU’s ability to steal their play calls.
Leach said the Pac-12 might want to investigate Arizona State’s practice of stealing plays, which Sun Devil head coach Todd Graham admitted to doing — but legally. That, of course, created a lot of discussion leading into the two teams’ showdown in Pullman, Wash.
Well, after the Cougars beat ASU 38-24 on Saturday, dropping the Sun Devils to 4-5 on the year, Leach wasn’t so careful in staying away from more sign-stealing talk.
Leach says the Cougs didn’t change anything schematically after the 1st Q, “except for all the calls we stole from Arizona State.” #GoCougs

Mike Leach, when asked what defense did to adjust after first half, has this gem of a response. (1of2)

Leach: “In the first half we stole a bunch of their signals and that helped us a bunch the second half.” #ASUvsWSU #Signalgate — Stefanie Loh (@StefanieLoh) November 8, 2015
That’s an example of Leach’s dry sense of humor but it likely won’t be welcomed talk in Sun Devil Nation. While the Cougars became bowl eligible with the victory, ASU must win two of its final three games — against Washington, Arizona and Cal — to have a chance at a bowl game invite.
UPDATE: It turns out the Martin Stadium game experience also included a jab at Arizona State.
Martin Stadium trolling ASU w/ "I saw the sign"…….underrated song, IMO
