Arizona Diamondbacks first baseman Paul Goldschmidt is one of the three finalists for the Most Valuable Player Award in the National League.

The three-time All-Star led the Diamondbacks with 33 home runs, 110 RBI and a .321 batting average. He also won his second National League Gold Glove Tuesday.

In the National League, Goldschmidt ranked in the top five in batting average, home runs, RBI, runs, hits, walks, on-base percentage, slugging percentage, OPS and WAR. He was the only player in the Majors to hit more than 30 home runs and steal 20 or more bases in 2015.

This is the second time Goldschmidt has been a finalist for the award. He finished second in the 2013 balloting behind Pittsburgh’s Andrew McCutchen.

Cincinnati Reds first baseman Joey Votto and Washington Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper are the other two finalists. It is interesting to note that none of the three finalists played on teams that participated in the postseason, the first time that’s happened since 1959.

The winner will be announced on Nov. 19.
