The Arizona Coyotes debuted new uniforms this season, but Friday they will be donning an old-school look.

The team announced it will wear the black Kachina original Coyotes jerseys that the franchise wore from 1996 to 2003 against the Calgary Flames as part of a “Throwblack Friday” event. The Coyotes wore the black jerseys in a 3-2 win over the Vancouver Canucks last season.

Fans who attend the game will get a retro experience, with the Coyotes’ original pre-game videos and music selections that were popular during the team’s first years in the Valley. There will also be other “throwblack” surprises throughout the night.
