Andre Johnson is better than Larry Fitzgerald?

Is Larry Fitzgerald the best receiver in the NFL? Not when you pose the question to fans across the United States.
That’s exactly what ESPN.com is doing as the site has asked fans who the best receiver in the game is right now with Fitzgerald, Andre Johnson, DeSean Jackson and Roddy White. With over 5,000 people voting so far the Cardinals Pro Bowl wideout is in second place but trailing Johnson by a sizable amount.
With as large of a lead as he has, you’d think Johnson’s skills were undoubtedly better than Fitzgerald’s. Last year he had four fewer catches, 79 more yards and two more touchdowns (granted he did it in three fewer games due to injury).
Let’s be honest though, Johnson put up numbers with a Pro Bowl caliber quarterback throwing to him while Fitzgerald caught passes from four quarterbacks who if you combined their talent wouldn’t even be close to Matt Schaub’s level.
Over their careers Fitzgerald has 15 more touchdowns than Johnson (despite entering the league a year after him) and did that little thing of helping the wayward Cardinals become Super Bowl contenders with one of the greatest overall playoff performances by a receiver in league history.
Call us biased if you must, but at the very least this should be a close race. Johnson is a great receiver, but there is no way he should be running away with it.
