The ASU softball team is ranked first in the ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 and
USA Today/NCFA preseason polls for the
second year in a row.

ASU received all 30 first-place votes in the USA Today/NCFA
poll and 19 out of 20 in ESPN.com/USA Softball’s rankings.

Last year, the Sun Devils of head coach Clint Myers went 60-
6, won the Pac-10 crown and swept the Women’s College World
Series to claim their second national title in the last four
seasons. They also swept the University of Arizona on the
road for the first time in program history.

Six other Pac-12 schools are listed in the top 25 in both
polls, including Arizona, who is ranked 8th.
