Newsmakers Week: Amber Cox joins Doug and Wolf

With the new season of the WNBA set to tip-off in May, the
COO of the Phoenix Mercury joined Arizona Sports 620’s
Doug and Wolf on location at Fry’s in Mesa for day two of
Newsmakers week.

Amber Cox openly discussed the state of the team, the
evolution of the league, debunked some surprising myths
about the WNBA and explained what factors made her decide
to stay in her current position with the Mercury.

One of the original WNBA franchises, the Mercury are
entering their 16th season in 2012 and boast a roster with
the most recognizable face in women’s basketball, Diana
Taurasi, and Australian sensation Penny Taylor.
