Report: Cardinals interested in DBs Hayward, Weddle, Jenkins and Smith

The pass rush may be generating all of the attention, but the Arizona Cardinals are looking to improve their secondary, as well.

The 31-year-old Weddle has played nine seasons for the San Diego Chargers, accumulating 850 total tackles, 19 interceptions and 6.5 sacks. He notched 78 total tackles and zero interceptions in 13 games last season.
As for the cornerbacks listed, all are intriguing options.
Hayward, 26, just finished his fourth season with the Green Bay Packers. He amassed 65 total tackles and zero interceptions. For his career, he has picked off nine passes.
Cardinals fans are plenty familiar with Jenkins, a 27-year-old with 257 total tackles and 10 interceptions to his credit. A second-round pick of the Rams’ in 2012, he has three career interceptions in eight games against Arizona.
As for Smith, the 28-year-old has tallied 10 interceptions over seven seasons. The first four seasons of his career were spent with the Miami Dolphins, while the last three have been with the Kansas City Chiefs.
