Cards rookie Peterson hopes DRC for Kolb isn’t true

When the Arizona Cardinals drafted Patrick Peterson fifth overall the thought was he would pair with Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie to form one of the best defensive secondaries in the NFL.
But that was before the Kolb for DRC rumors popped up.
Now it seems there is a chance Peterson will not be playing with DRC, but rather replacing him on the field. That, though, is something the rookie doesn’t want to happen.
“I don’t know what’s going on with the deal between him and Kolb, but I hope it’s a rumor, something that doesn’t come true,” Peterson told Sports 620 KTAR’s Gambo and Ash Wednesday. “It will be an honor to compete with another first round guy that came in and took over early and kind of learn from him a little bit in my young career.
“But if it does happen it’s a business decision, that decision is out of my hands.”
