The Phoenix Mercury will have a different look when they take the floor for the 2016 season.
On Monday the Mercury unveiled a new look, which gives them new purple and orange uniforms.
From a press release:
In its quest for its fourth title, the Mercury will feature a deep purple “primary” uniform and orange “amplify” uniform, either of which can be worn at home or away. The purple color is a deeper shade than team’s previous road uniform, now more in line with the Mercury’s primary logo and brand identity. The orange is a brand new addition and, at minimum, will be worn by the Mercury for all Sunday home games in 2016. No WNBA team will wear a white uniform.
Along with the new colors, the uniforms will feature a 20th season log on the front right strap of the jersey as well as the WNBA’s 20th season logo on the back. Phoenix will also be one of four teams in the league to have a tab on the back of the jersey’s collar highlighting championships the franchise has won.
