Ernie Els needs seven putts to finish first hole at The Masters

To say Ernie Els’ first round at the Masters got off to a rough start would be an understatement.
A gross understatement, actually.
A par 4, Els was setting up for a bogey putt when things went south. Very, very south.
Els continued to miss putt after putt, and the frustration clearly began to mount as he continued to miss the hole.
He was finally able to finish the hole, but it took all of seven putts to get the job done.
We’d like to say anyone who has ever golfed before has been there, but honestly, we’re not so sure about this one.
