Todd Graham’s Arizona State Sun Devils will be heading up the hill for their annual trip to Camp Tontozona this year on Aug. 2, with plans to stay until the 6th.

The team’s time at the famed venue will culminate with the final practice on the sixth, the time of which has yet to be determined. The Sun Devils will practice once a day, with the first of this trip being their first of the 2016 season.

“I’ve stated many times that I love the traditions of college football,” Graham said in a press release. “Camp Tontozona for ASU is one of those iconic traditions. I want to take my teams to Camp T because that is where the tradition and the season begins. Coach Frank Kush had a vision and it worked out very well. I want to perpetuate that tradition.”

The Sun Devils had made Camp T. one of their offseason practice homes for many years, but from 2008 until Graham took over in 2012 the program did not make the trip. The coach made it a point to return, however, and this year will mark the fifth time his team has made the trek under his leadership.

Camp Tontozona is set within a mountainous area near Payson and it borders the Tonto National Forest.
