Cardinals must act quickly and nab a QB

At 7:00 a.m. Arizona time Tuesday the Arizona Cardinals will be able to make a trade for or begin negotiating with their next quarterback.
By about 7:05 they better have their guy signed, sealed and delivered, especially if it’s Kevin Kolb.
“I don’t think the Arizona Cardinals can afford to wait,” Sports 620 KTAR’s Dave Burns said Monday. “Because then what happens if they wait too long, if they play footsie with the Philadelphia Eagles for too long on this…
“You’ve got to move fast on this if you’re the Arizona Cardinals; you have to be quick, decisive so you can move on and start addressing your other needs.”
Sounds about right.
Though quarterback is the most pressing (and probably most important), the Cardinals also must fill holes along the offensive line, at linebacker and on the defensive line, all while trying to keep their own free agents.
Then again, the Cardinals front office is not exactly known for the speed with which it works. They’ve always been more comfortable taking their time with free agents, much to the chagrin of Cardinals fans. Taking the same approach this year would be, well devastating.
So, this is a good chance for the Cardinals to show that times are changing, especially when they don’t have much to work with.
