The Arizona Cardinals on Monday announced they have signed 2016 draft picks Brandon Williams, Evan Boehm and Harlan Miller.
With those three officially in the fold, the entirety of Arizona’s six-player 2016 draft class is now under contract after Robert Nkemdiche, Marqui Christian and Cole Toner signed their contracts last week.
Williams, the team’s third-round pick (No. 92 overall) is a cornerback out of Texas A&M. He played just one season at the position after converting from running back, but at 6-foot and 200 pounds with excellent speed, the team sees him as a player who could develop into a key contributor in the secondary. Last season, he posted 34 tackles and seven passes defensed for the Aggies.
Arizona’s fourth-round pick and the 128th player chosen, Boehm, a center, made 52 consecutive starts over four seasons at Missouri. He began his career with the school at left guard, but moved to center as a sophomore and never left the position. A team captain, the 6-foot-3, 310-pound player is expected to compete for the starting job with the Cardinals.
Miller was the Cardinals’ final pick of the draft, chosen in the sixth round at No. 205 overall. A 6-foot, 182-pound cornerback from Southeastern Louisiana, he earned second-team FCS All-America honors and was a finalist for the FCS National Defensive Player of the Year award as a senior. He appeared in 47 career games, tallying 122 tackles, 11 interceptions and 34 passes defensed.
