Suns’ NBA D-League affiliate unveils new uniforms

The Phoenix Suns recently purchased their NBA Developmental League affiliate, the Bakersfield Jam, and relocated it to Prescott Valley.

Tuesday, the newly-named Northern Arizona Suns revealed their logo and uniforms.

With the help of NAZ Suns President Chris Presson and Suns alumni Tom Chambers, Steven Hunter and Tim Kempton, the franchise unveiled its new look.

The logo stays true to the parent club’s purple and orange colors while also incorporating a retro sun burst. According to the team, the 16 sun rays represent the year the franchise was formed, 2016, and the triangle at the top is a reference to Prescott Valley, which is north of Phoenix.

The two uniforms keep the same colors in mind. The home jerseys read with the abbreviated “NAZ” above the numbers in orange while the purple uniforms spell out the full name of the franchise.
