Arizona Cardinals still interested in Marc Bulger

And then there were four.

The Arizona Cardinals quarterback search has come down to the four names we’ve all been talking about since February, Kevin Kolb, Kyle Orton, Matt Hasselbeck and now Marc Bulger.

According to the Arizona Republic’s Kent Somers, the Arizona Cardinals have reached out to Bulger’s agent.

The news comes as a bit of a surprise seeing as many reports suggested that the Ravens signal caller didn’t have a desire to head to Arizona. As a matter of fact, many questioned whether he had the desire to be a starting quarterback in the NFL at all.

The one situation that could be extremely intriguing when it comes to Bulger is the possibility of adding him as a backup to say a Kolb or an Orton. His veteran leadership and experience would be a welcome addition at a position that wouldn’t otherwise have anyone over the age of 27. It would appeal to the man who led the Rams after Kurt Warner if in fact he truly doesn’t want the pressures of being the first stringer.
