Coyote Ice Bites: Derrek Morris’ play huge for Phoenix Coyotes

You know, I’m not a huge fan of Phoenix Coyotes defenseman Derek Morris, but he’s slowly starting to change my mind.
Morris has been key to the Coyotes this year. They haven’t won a game without him and are undefeated with him.
He also is leading the team in scoring and is third in scoring in the entire league. He’s even ahead of guys like Chicago’s Jonathan Toews, New Jersey’s Jaromir Jagr and Philadelphia’s Vincent Lecavalier!
Morris just looks like a better player this year. He’s consistent. His game is simple. He’s contributing. He’s a huge part of the reason the Coyotes don’t have a losing record.
