The news of the lockout ending was welcomed by Cardinals fans, who in turn offered good news right back to the Cardinals.
The demand for season tickets is back.
According to Phoenix Business Journal, the Cardinals have reported an increase in season-ticket renewals and calls from prospective buyers.
“The news of the last couple days had led to a frenzy of activity in terms of renewals, wait-list deposits and general ticket inquiries,” said Cardinals spokesman Mark Dalton.
The upswing in ticket sales was badly needed by both the Cardinals and NFL, as fans — already feeling the effects of a slow economy — were reluctant to buy tickets to a season that might not occur.
