Change coming to Arizona State Sun Devils

Arizona State has come out with multiple YouTube videos promoting their football, basketball and baseball teams over the past couple of weeks.

On Sunday they released, what I consider, their best one.

They did a great job of dipping into their past while bringing a fanbase to the present.

I do question the releasing of the video in April.

Might they be adding to the maroon and gold? A little (or a lot) more of the color black into the mix. We already speculated black jerseys will be worn for the upcoming season.

Could it be more than that though?

In the video they start it with, “people might ask why we’re changing. I say to them, when did we stop changing?”

Pretty powerful words if you ask me.

Later in the video they make it a point to talk about black helmets in the 1950s and gold helmets and the sunburst logo. Both eventually went away.
