TEMPE – ASU has added a major piece to their 2012 recruiting class by convincing a Texas high school quarterback to switch his verbal commitment from Virginia Tech to the Sun Devils.
T.J. Millweard out of Texas, a 6-foot-5, 205-pound passer changed his mind after taking a recent visit to Tempe according to devilsdigest.com.
“He is rated the No. 53 quarterback nationally by Scout, but the other services think much more highly of him: Rivals ranks him the No. 23 QB in his class, while ESPN has him as the sixth-best QB in the country this year and the No. 93 prospect overall,” according to FoxSportsArizona.com.
Millweard threw for 1,617 yards and 11 touchdowns last season.
