Stop us if you’ve heard this before: Arizona State’s Vontaze Burfict was named to an award watch list.
This time it is the 2011 Walter Camp Award, which is presented annually to the top player in college football.
A junior linebacker, Burfict has been a regular on the award watch lists this offseason, and with good reason.
Arizona State’s best player, he led the team with 90 tackles last year, had three pass breakups and also forced a couple of fumbles.
Other Pac-12 players on the list are USC’s Matt Barkley, Oregon’s LaMichael James and Darron Thomas, Stanford’s Andrew Luck and Washington’s Chris Polk.
