Arizona State Sun Devils unveil new commercial

Jul 20, 2011, 6:16 PM | Updated: 7:19 pm

New uniforms, new conference, and now a new commercial.

The ASU marketing department has been hard at work this offseason preparing a new advertising campaign that highlights the work Sun Devil football players put in behind the scenes.

Everyone knows football players lift weights and go to practice as a team, but they also do a lot of work individually, something the commercial tried to focus on.

The video shows players studying the playbook, running, lifting and watching extra film.

Quarterback Brock Osweiler was also featured in the video doing something that is entertaining to watch, but not as beneficial as studying the playbook of working out.

The Sun Devils signal caller is seen throwing the ball into a garbage can from about 35 yards away towards the end of the commercial.

While garbage cans passes are entertaining during the summer, they will slowly lose their appeal if they do not translate to touchdown passes in the fall.
