ASU Sun Devils lose another cornerback

The hits just keep on coming for the Arizona State Sun Devils, and not in a good way.

Already having lost star Omar Bolden to a torn ACL, head coach Dennis Erickson announced that defensive back Devan Spann is probably out for the year too.

While not a starter, Spann provided solid depth for a team that relies heavily on its defense, and losing the redshirt freshman is certainly tough pill to swallow just a couple days before the season opener.

However, injuries are part of the game, and if the Sun Devils are to compete for a Pac-12 South title they will likely have to push through a few more throughout the course of this season.
