As Kyle Orton likely heads to Miami, Cardinals leverage dwindles

The leverage may have just swung back to the Philadelphia Eagles in the Kevin Kolb negotiations. That’s because Kyle Orton, who many believed was the Arizona Cardinals backup plan, may be on the move in a matter of hours.
NFL Network’s Michelle Beisner reporting Kyle Orton could be traded to the #Dolphins “within the next six hours.”
With Matt Hasselbeck reportedly signing with the Tennessee Titans and Orton now likely on the move to the Miami Dolphins the Cardinals are seemingly left with Marc Bulger as the only QB left that they’ve been interested in. That doesn’t bode well for a team that had to settle for a starting quarterback in 2010 and suffered for it.
If the Eagles stick to their reported asking price of Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and a first round pick, the Cardinals may have to turn to their ‘break glass in case of emergency play’. Could they be desperate enough to look into a guy like a Vince Young or crafty enough to go with the value play and acquire Matt Flynn? We’ll soon find out. Although, probably not soon enough for most fans’ liking.
