ASU ‘refreshed,’ ready for second half of season

After three months of practice and seven straight games,
ASU needed a break.
“That bye week came at a very crucial point in time,” said
quarterback Brock Osweiler during his weekly Monday press
conference. “It really gave guys the chance to kind of
heal up their body, refresh a little bit and get focused
on the second part of the season.”
Osweiler got focused with a trip to Denver. “It was just
good to get out of the city for the weekend; get some of
that fresh air up there.”
Osweiler and the Sun Devils returned to work Sunday with
their first practice since Thursday.
“There was a little extra speed in some of the guys that I
hadn’t seen in a few of weeks. I know my arm for example-
–shoot, the first three throws we had I overthrew the
guys. I was like, ‘Dang, where’d that juice come from?’
I haven’t had that in a few weeks.”
