Sun Devils’ win over CU doesn’t impress voters

The Arizona State Sun Devils left no doubt on Saturday
night , taking apart their new Pac-12 rival Colorado 48-14
in front of a Homecoming crowd at Sun Devil Stadium.
With the win, the Sun Devils pushed their record to 6-2
and 4-1 in conference play.
Apparently the voters in both the AP and USA Today
Coaches’ Polls weren’t too impressed with the Sun Devils’
one-sided victory.
Dennis Erickson’s team moved up just two spots in the
Coaches’ Poll (rising from 20th to 18th), and three spots
in the AP Poll (from 23rd to 20th).
The third BCS Top 25 poll was also released on Sunday
evening, and the Devils moved from 21st to 19th. The
computer composite element of the BCS has the Sun Devils
ranked 22nd.
ASU hits the road Saturday for a crucial Pac-12 South
matchup against UCLA, the only team in the division that
has a chance of catching them.
