No one likes it when their plane arrives late. Friday
though Dennis Erickson will insist on it. He wants a
late—or later, arrival into Los Angeles to avoid the
distractions that come with the nation’s second-largest
city.

“I think it can be a distraction if you let it be,” said
Erickson. “We won’t let it be because we’re not going
down there in time for it to be a distraction.”
