Erickson on WSU loss: ‘Very, very, very, very disturbing’

Nov 14, 2011, 4:47 PM | Updated: 6:13 pm

A couple of weeks ago it looked as if the Arizona State
Sun Devils would cruise down the stretch of their schedule
and head to the Pac-12 Championship Game as the
representatives of the South and take on either Oregon or
Stanford.

For all intents and purposes, the “hard” part of the Sun
Devils’ schedule was behind them. After losing at Oregon,
the Devils rebounded with a 48-14 pasting of Colorado to
push their record to 6-2. Their remaining schedule
featured four games, all of which were against opponents
with .500 records or worse [at the time].

Oh, how things have changed after consecutive Sun Devil
losses, including Saturday’s inexplicable 37-27 defeat at
Washington State.
