Mora Jr. interested in ASU job

Go ahead and add another name to the already long list of
possibilities to replace Dennis Erickson as the head coach
of the Arizona State Sun Devils.
Longtime NFL coach Jim Mora Jr. has interest in the
position.
Mora joined Kevin Calabro and Jim Moore on Arizona Sports
620’s sister station in Seattle, ESPN 710, and Moore specifically asked
Mora about the Arizona State and
UCLA jobs, which both became available on Monday. Mora had
nice things to say about both.
“I think those are two great programs, they’re obviously
Pac-12 schools and you can recruit there and you can win
there, so those are things I’d definitely consider,” Mora
said.
“If either or both of those people were to call me and ask
if I was interested, I would certainly consider it very
strongly.”
Mora is currently out of coaching after spending 24 years
as an NFL coach, most recently as the Seattle Seahawks
head coach in 2009. Mora also served as the head coach of
the Atlanta Falcons from 2004 to 2006.
His only college coaching experience was as a graduate
assistant at the University of Washington in 1984.
