Report: ASU ends pursuit of Sumlin

The Arizona State-Kevin Sumlin story has had more abrupt
plot twists than an M. Night Shmayalan flick–when he was
still directing watchable movies.
The latest reports are coming out of Houston, where Mark
Berman of Fox 26 TV is reporting that ASU has ended its pursuit of
University of Houston head coach Kevin Sumlin to fill
its vacant head coaching position.
The report has been confirmed by
ASUDevils.com.
In the last twenty-four hours or so, there have been
reports that ASU offered the job to Sumlin’s
representative. Shortly after that, reports from Texas
stated that Sumlin, nor his people, had even been
contacted
by ASU. And earlier today, another report had Arizona
State president Michael Crow, C.O.O. Steve Patterson and
vice president for athletics Lisa Love headed to Houston
to meet with Sumlin’s camp following tomorrow’s Conference
USA Championship game between UH and Southern Mississippi.
