Controversial or not, Arizona State’s 32-30 upset victory over Wisconsin Saturday was more than enough to propel the Sun Devils into both the AP Top 25 and USA Today polls.
Sunday, Todd Graham’s squad (2-0) was ranked No. 23 in both polls, joining four other Pac-12 teams — (No. 2 Oregon, No. 5 Stanford, No. 13/No. 15 UCLA and No. 17/No. 20 Washington).
It marks the first time in Graham’s two-year tenure that ASU has been ranked in the AP poll.
The Sun Devils were last ranked in both on Oct. 30, 2011, when they began 6-2 with wins over Missouri, Oregon State and USC.
