Four-star JUCO defensive tackle Dalvon Stuckey will not enroll at ASU because of academics, according to reports, delivering another blow to the Sun Devils’ football team.
According to his Facebook page, Stuckey is headed to the University of West Georgia, an NCAA Division II school.
Stuckey is the second junior college player from ASU’s 2014 recruiting class not to enroll, joining Pearl River Community College (Poplarville, Miss.) teammate Darrius Caldwell.
With ASU losing nine defensive starters from the 2013 team, both could have filled voids left by departing players. Stuckey was the No. 12 overall JUCO prospect by Rivals, while Caldwell was ranked No. 88 by the same outlet.
Stuckey signed with Florida State out of high school, but attended community college instead. He was reportedly committed to Miami and Auburn before signing with ASU.
