Brandon Drury has been recalled to the Arizona Diamondbacks from Triple-A Reno as Socrates Brito hits the 15-day disabled list.
Brito fractured his toe after fouling a ball off of his foot on Thursday.
He finished the at-bat and remained in the game, but was later relieved in a double-switch. He joins Chris Owings, who has also seen time in centerfield, as well as A.J. Pollock on the disabled list.
Brito, who was on the D-backs Opening Day roster, is hitting .211 with two home runs and four RBI in 13 games at the big league level.
In 56 games with the D-backs this season, Drury is batting .275 with eight home runs and 18 RBI. He was demoted to Triple-A Reno on Sunday and played in three games for the Aces.
