With Saturday’s loss at Oregon State, the Arizona State Sun Devils no longer control their fate in the Pac-12 South — but they still have a clear path to a second-straight division championship.

According to ESPN’s Kyle Bonagura, ASU (8-2, 5-2 Pac-12) must end its regular season by defeating Washington State at home Saturday and Arizona on the road Friday, Nov. 28, and hope UCLA loses Saturday at home to USC or the following week at home against Stanford, in order to secure the South title.

Heading into this weekend’s set of games, five of the Pac-12 South’s six teams — ASU, UCLA, USC, UA and Utah — still have a chance to become division champions and earn the right to face Pac-12 North champ Oregon in the conference championship game Dec. 5 in Santa Clara, California.

ASU went 8-1 in conference play last season to win its first Pac-12 South title before losing to Stanford in the Pac-12 Championship Game in Tempe.
