Young girl decides she wants no part of owning a baseball

Jul 6, 2016, 1:03 PM

It’s one thing to get a second chance at something, but a third?

That may be too much to ask.

Such is the situation a couple of Detroit Tigers fans found themselves in Wednesday as their team was facing the Cleveland Indians.

It all began when Cleveland’s Jason Kipnis hit a foul ball down the right field line and into the the stands. An adult fan tried to snag the ball with his glove, but failed to make the play.

The announcers proceed to have a little fun at the guy’s expense, commenting on how his wardrobe may have prevented him from catching the ball.

But while the guy was probably bummed about not being able to snag the ball, he was offered a bit of a reprieve when the ball was picked up on the field and handed to the young child he was at the game with.

Except, well, the little girl decided she wanted nothing to do with the baseball.
