Arizona prep football standout and Arizona State Sun Devil Terrell Suggs may be on the downturn of his pro career, but he’s setting himself up for NFL retirement well.

It looks like he’s betting on an acting career.

Suggs made his second appearance on HBO’s comedy series Ballers, and he did so in a big way during the Season 2 premiere Sunday evening.

We can debate the linebacker’s acting talents that are limited to smack talk and a fight with Spencer Strasmore (Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson). Yet, those of us in Arizona can agree that Suggs’ decision to rep the Arizona Diamondbacks was especially neat.

To begin the episode, Suggs and his financial advisor Andre Allen (Andy Garcia) end up on Jay Glazer’s “Glazed and Confused” radio show despite a salty past between them and Strasmore. Suggs is wearing a purple D-backs hat with quite the impressive snakeskin block A chain hanging around his neck (Do they sell those at the Diamondbacks’ team shop?).

Later in the episode, after their on-set scuffle, Suggs and Strasmore make up as the linebacker wears a red D-backs cap.

Through a quick search history, it’s clear Suggs is representing Arizona on his own accord.

Suggs rocked the red D-backs hat a while back and wore the purple Arizona cap while explaining his distaste for Tom Brady.

Anyway, if you feel the need to check out Suggs and Johnson talk some NSFW smack before brawling, CharmCityWire.com has the clip from Sunday’s Ballers season premiere.
