Arizona State forward Shaquielle McKissic was named the Pac-12 Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for his performances from March 2-7.
The senior, who potentially played his final home game on Saturday, averaged 22 points, seven rebounds and three steals per game against Stanford and California. He shot almost 54 percent from the field (15-for-28) and nearly 85 percent from the stripe (11-for-13) in the two wins as well.
ASU swept the Bay area schools in back-to-back years for the first time since 1994 and 1995. It’s the first time McKissic has been honored with the award and he is the first ASU player to win the award this season. It is Arizona State’s 36th weekly selection of all time.
The Sun Devils will play USC to begin the Pac-12 Men’s Basketball Tournament on Wednesday.
