Arizona State Sun Devils’ Pac-12 Tournament history: By the Numbers

Mar 11, 2015, 3:00 AM | Updated: 3:00 am

The Pac-12 Tournament (and the Pac-10 version, for that matter) hasn’t been kind to the Arizona State Sun Devils.

That’s a trend Herb Sendek’s fifth-seeded team will try to reverse this week at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

ASU (17-14, 9-9) will take on 12th-seeded USC (11-19, 3-15) Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. The winner will advance to take on 4th-seeded UCLA Friday afternoon.

This is the 18th edition of the conference tournament — it began in 1987 and the Pac-10 would keep the event until 1990. It resurfaced in 2002 and has stuck around since.

The Sun Devils are still looking for their first-ever tournament championship.

Here’s a look back at ASU’s conference tournament history, by the numbers.

6-16

ASU’s all-time record in the tournament is 6-16 — the second-worst mark of any team in the conference. Only Washington State’s 5-15 record is worse.
